School Security and Perimeter Fencing
School security fencing should be specified around the boundary layout, access routes and the school’s design brief. Separate public-facing boundaries, restricted areas and entrances before choosing a fence construction. Request a manufacturing review using the required panel, gate, finish and quantity schedule.
A school boundary needs a coordinated fence and access plan. KUNYU manufactures panels, posts, fixings and gates to the agreed project schedule, with separate details for frontage, service and sports areas.
Start with the site requirements
- Boundary zonesSeparate the public frontage, teaching areas, service yard and sports facilities on one layout.
- Pedestrian accessList pupil, staff, visitor and emergency entrances with clear openings and hardware requirements.
- Panel and finishSpecify mesh, exposed ends, edge details and colour against the school design brief.
Choose by boundary function
School perimeter fencing
Twin-wire or V-mesh panels provide different panel constructions for the main school boundary. Compare aperture, stiffness, post details and visibility with the designer. Do not choose a system by colour alone.
Restricted compounds and service yards
For equipment or service compounds, review close-mesh panels and the associated gate and fixing arrangement. Keep delivery access separate from pupil routes where the site layout requires it.
School access gates
Schedule pedestrian and maintenance vehicle entrances separately. Define handing, latch position, clear opening and emergency-access requirements before the gate drawings are released.
Specification and enquiry schedule
| Site requirement | Construction reference | Confirm before ordering |
|---|---|---|
| Campus perimeter | 656 / 868 twin wire or profiled V mesh | Height, mesh, sightlines, top and edge details, finish and post layout |
| Entrances | Pedestrian and maintenance vehicle gates | Clear opening, handing, operating space, access hardware and emergency-access brief |
| Internal separation | Mesh partitions or restricted compounds to the site brief | Pupil and service routes, supervision sightlines, gate positions and connections |
| Sports area | Purpose-designed sports panel arrangement | Ball impact, height and support design; see sports-ground guide |
Dimensions are selection references. Final geometry, structural design, installation responsibilities and required evidence are confirmed against approved project documents.
Manufacturing and coordinated supply
Send the layout, fence schedule, gate drawings and quantities to KUNYU. We coordinate panel or pale manufacture, posts, connection details and packing around the agreed specification.
State the finish, colour reference, delivery destination and required shipment phases. The quotation identifies manufacturing supply, freight terms and any separately arranged installation or civil works.
Common questions
What information is needed for a school perimeter quotation?
Provide the boundary layout, required heights, access points, panel and gate requirements, finish and quantities. Include the school’s design brief.
Should every school boundary use the same fence?
Not necessarily. Public-facing areas, restricted zones and access routes may have different requirements. The project designer should confirm the specification.
