Football Pitch Perimeter Fencing
Football pitch perimeter fencing can describe different boundary functions. Define whether the project needs a spectator barrier, a secure site boundary or a ball-retention system before choosing panels and gates. Confirm the required design, dimensions and performance with the project designer.
KUNYU manufactures steel mesh panels and matching components for sports-ground specifications. Set the intended use first, then coordinate the fence construction and access points with the project designer.
Start with the site requirements
- Boundary functionDistinguish spectator separation, site security and ball retention before specifying panels.
- Impact and loadingProvide the designer’s requirements for ball impact, wind exposure, support spacing and foundations.
- Maintenance accessIdentify player entrances, maintenance vehicles and any removable sections on the layout.
Choose by boundary function
Football pitch perimeter fencing
A pitch-side boundary may separate spectators from the playing area, while an outer boundary controls site access. Specify the function, height, top detail and openings for each run; a general security panel is not automatically a spectator barrier.
Rebound and ball-retention requirements
UK sports ranges include twin-wire and rebound constructions. Specify any denser lower mesh, panel stacking and ball-stop arrangement separately. An 868 wire schedule alone does not establish impact resistance or the required structural performance.
Gates and adjoining boundaries
Match gate infill and edge details to the surrounding fence. Allow for maintenance equipment and define clear openings, operating space, locks and hardware responsibilities in the quotation.
Specification and enquiry schedule
| Site requirement | Construction reference | Confirm before ordering |
|---|---|---|
| Spectator boundary | Project-specific steel panel and top detail | Separation function, loading and gate locations |
| Site perimeter | 656 / 868 twin-wire options | 200 × 50 mm reference mesh; full post and fixing schedule |
| Ball-retention / rebound | Drawing-led sports construction | Required height, impact criteria, supports and lower-panel arrangement |
Dimensions are selection references. Final geometry, structural design, installation responsibilities and required evidence are confirmed against approved project documents.
Manufacturing and coordinated supply
Send the layout, fence schedule, gate drawings and quantities to KUNYU. We coordinate panel or pale manufacture, posts, connection details and packing around the agreed specification.
State the finish, colour reference, delivery destination and required shipment phases. The quotation identifies manufacturing supply, freight terms and any separately arranged installation or civil works.
Common questions
Is pitch perimeter fencing the same as ball-stop fencing?
No. A perimeter boundary and a ball-retention system have different design tasks. Specify which function the project requires.
What should a pitch boundary enquiry include?
Provide the pitch layout, intended fence function, required height, gate locations, panel specification and quantities.
