656 and 868 wire schedules
Wire diameters are nominal. State whether they refer to the steel core or the finished coated wire, together with the required tolerance.
Panel size references
2510 mm is a separate panel-width convention used in some systems. Panel width, installed height and post centres must be confirmed individually; do not combine dimensions from different systems.
Complete-system enquiry schedule
A single uninterrupted run often has one more post position than bays, but shared corners, gates and changes in level alter the take-off. Use the actual layout for quantities.
The product
System & supply overview
Use this page when the enquiry covers a complete fence line. Start with a layout and the required finished fence height. Select 656 or 868 panels, then identify straight runs, corners, end posts and access openings. The quotation should distinguish panel dimensions from installed height and post centres. Panel quantities, post types and fixing sets are agreed from the layout; gate sizes are scheduled separately. Final dimensions, surface treatment, packing and delivery terms are recorded in the approved order specification.
- ✓One fence schedule for panels, posts, fixings and gate openings.
- ✓Choose a panel grade before defining post and fixing quantities.
- ✓Separate straight runs, corners, changes in level and gate positions.

Buyer questions
Frequently asked questions
What does the complete system include?+
The quotation lists mesh panels, posts and fixing sets against the fence layout. Gates and any special corner or level-change details are scheduled separately. Check the bill of materials to confirm what is included.
Should I choose 656 or 868?+
Choose the wire schedule required by the project. 656 uses two nominal 6 mm horizontal wires and one 5 mm vertical wire; 868 uses two 8 mm horizontal wires and one 6 mm vertical wire. Post, foundation and fixing design remain part of the complete system.
How should panel dimensions be written?+
State panel height × width in millimetres and specify the mesh as height × width. The panel dimensions are separate from the finished fence height and post centres. Include a drawing when matching an existing system.
What information is needed for an export quotation?+
Send the product and quantity, destination country or port, selected finish and the relevant panel or gate schedule. Include project drawings, required inspection scope and the target delivery date.
How are packing and lead time agreed?+
Panel, post, gate and fixing quantities are reviewed separately. The quotation records packing protection, package identification, net and gross weights, commercial terms and the production schedule for the agreed specification.
